Congratulations to all of the students of the Month in February for displaying kindness both in and out of the classroom. March's theme is School Spirit!

Thank you to Battleford's Discovery Co-op for donating food and their time to our school for a wonderful Christmas Turkey Lunch. Another thank you to the SCC and all staff and parents who came to help!

PreK has just completed their Fall Project involving trees, leaves, and ladybugs. After exploring the area around the school, students used paper techniques learned at the start of the year to create their trees. Leaves were gathered, observed and added to the trees. Ladybugs were also gathered and a centre was set up for observation. Other centres were setup where students could use leaves, twigs, rocks, and seeds to explore their ideas.

A big thank you to Mrs. Mann for organizing our first Math Pep Rally! What a great way to kick off the math year with a teacher vs students math trivia! Thank you to Mr. Fox for spending HOURS making cotton candy for our carnival theme. Another huge thanks to Jim Shevchuk (superintendent) for hosting the Math Trivia for us!


In Social, the Grade 4s are working on their Saskatchewan Ecozone Posters!

In Grade 1 the students are working on their first unit of the year; All About Me. Today, after discussing neighbourhoods and the types of communities (suburban, urban, and rural) that people all over the world live in, they made their houses out of construction paper and brown lunch bags!
